Air filter efficiency numbers can sound impressive, but the test behind the number matters.

Some competitors advertise 98% or 99% efficiency based on ISO 5011 testing using ISO Coarse Test Dust. On the surface, that sounds excellent.

ISO Coarse Test Dust contains a large amount of bigger particles. In fact, 62% of that test dust falls between 20 and 120 microns.
