1966 FAST-AF Air Filter Performance Testing
Original Request: “Looking to have a custom filter made. Wanting to explore cost and turn around time. Wanting for an automotive application approximate dimensions of 2″ tall, 6″ O.D. and 5″ I.D. (circular filter – reusable / washable). We need these to use with another product that we are manufacturing in house, Appears you make similar items – wanting something similar to a K&N style air filter” – Tin Indian Performance
Solution: Performance Filtration Products designed custom FAST-AF reusable air filters for Tin Indian Performance, designed to fit classic Pontiac Tri-Power applications. These filters were tested on a street/strip 1965 GTO during live track competition at the 2023 Ames Performance Pontiac Tripower Nationals.
Result: Compared to the customer’s original air cleaner setup:

Does Performance Filtration Products design & manufacture cold air intake filters?
Yes. Our current production line regularly manufacturers cold air intake filters on a day-to-day basis.
What types of filter configurations can Performance Filtration Products design & manufacture?
We engineer and manufacture a wide range of filter types, including but not limited to:

Our in-house 3D printing capability allows us to make custom molds for niche or specialty filter projects.
Does Performance Filtration Products manufacture double open end synthetic filters?
Yes. We regularly manufacture these types of air filters using urethane molded ends and our dry media filter technology to maximize both filtration and airflow.
Can we use competitors' filter oil to service Performance Filtration Product's performance air filters?
No. This will compromise the enhanced-fiber media’s filtration efficiency and shorten the filter life. This could also potentially harm your engine.
Does Performance Filtration Products design and manufacture one-off air filters?
Yes. While we focus primarily on small and large production runs, we can also provide one-off filters in a prototype setup with in-house molds and 3D printing capability to meet your custom air filter requirements.
